Effective from January-to-be paid from April-How will it Work?
Although the increase is with effect from January 1, 2025, part of the increased amount would not be paid upfront but will be disbursed for the months of January, February, and March in a phased manner during the months of April, May, and June, respectively, of 2025. This phased method of payment will give employees a feel of an increase every month on his earnings, softening the shock of day-to-day price rises.
Retired Employees Get Full Amount at Once
The government has also taken a decision for retiree employees, who will retire between April and June 2025, that they get the full pending DA amount in the month they retire.
