Ingredients for making cheese pasta :
Pasta—1 cup (penne or macaroni, any)
Milk—1 cup
Butter—2 tablespoons
Refined flour—1 tablespoon
Processed cheese—1/2 cup (grated)
Cheese slices—1 or 2 (optional)
Black pepper powder—1/4 tsp
Salt—according to taste
Boiled mixed vegetables (carrot, peas, capsicum)—1/2 cup (optional)
Water—for boiling pasta
Method of making cheese pasta :
Boil water in a large pan, and add some salt and oil. Add pasta and boil for 7-10 minutes or until it becomes soft. Then strain and keep aside. Heat butter in a pan. Add flour to it and fry on low flame for 1-2 minutes till the raw smell goes away. Now add milk slowly while stirring so that lumps do not form. When the sauce starts thickening, add grated cheese to it.
Add salt and black pepper powder and mix well. Now add boiled pasta and boiled vegetables (if adding). Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. You can add some more cheese on top. Serve hot cheese pasta. You can add oregano, chili flakes, and some green coriander on top.
