Dhirendra Shastri, the Bageshwar Dham priest, stirs controversy in Panipat with bold remarks during Hanuman Katha, vows Hindu Rashtra push with upcoming padyatra in Delhi, Haryana, and UP.
Panipat Roars with ‘Sanatan’ Spirit as Dhirendra Shastri Returns
At an electrified religious gathering, which seemed to be firebrand speech more than spiritual, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham blazed the Sector 13-17 stadium with his lightning-like aura in Panipat. The open sky had thousands waiting to see his return for the three-day Hanumant Katha Amrit Mahotsav, where he was due to see divine tales, but it was nothing compared to the political-spiritual tempest that they came for.

“We Are Those Hindus Who Take Bullets, Not Kalmas”
Spiritual became a battle cry as Shastri, a man who rarely minced words, would speak of recent terror attacks in Kashmir and say, “Az Lak Hindu We are those who will go to the front lines, but never say Kalma”. The crowd erupted. His voice carried further than mere ground as cries of “Sanatan Dharma ki Hwal” engulfed the air. He termed the people of Panipat as ‘Balaji ke pagal’ — over devoted to Hanuman, and lauded their faith, which is strong enough.
From Broken Mirrors to Unbroken Resolve
Winking, memorably, Shastri regaled us with his last trip. Laughing, “people broke the mirrors of my car to turn me around.” Their devotion only made me swear to come back. Panipat for him is not the city of textiles, the land of swordsmen, of battles, and philosophical fights past.

Dust Storm Delays, Divine Drama Unfolds
A dust storm caught them off guard, and their session got a short delay, but Shastri wove that, too, into a story for everybody. Hadestore early, or the media would’ve said ‘the baba who sees others’ futures missed his own’. As he usually does, today-katha is not just a mere event in the life of a man but also a moment where history gets inscribed on spiritual soil
A Yatra for the Nation, a Movement for Sanatan
The climax was on an announcement to conduct a padyatra across Delhi, Haryana, and UP from 7th —15th November. What for? The aim is to say that India must be called a Hindu Rashtra. “So long as that day does not dawn,” Shastri decreed, “I will keep shaking the soul of Bharat awake.”
Tomorrow: The Divine Darbar Returns
The spiritual zeal continues onwards to Sunday with the grand Hanuman Darbar, all set up again for the night. All night is one blessed with “parchisi” of divine messages, and the crowd craves for faith, fire (hopefully not), and maybe another story that will not make the papers.
