Method of making Bihari Fish Curry :
Apply salt and turmeric to the fish pieces and marinate for 15 minutes. Then heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the fish on both sides till it becomes light brown. Take it out and keep it aside.
Add fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds in the same oil. Now add finely chopped onion and fry till it turns golden. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry for some time. Now add tomato puree, followed by turmeric, coriander, and red chili powder. When oil starts separating from the masala, add mustard paste and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add water as per the requirement and let it boil. Then add fried fish and cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame so that the flavor gets absorbed well. Add green coriander on top and serve with hot bhaat (rice) or roti.
