Ingredients to make fish curry :
- Fish piece (Rohu or favorite fish) –
- 500 grams Onion—2 medium,
- finely chopped; tomato—
- 2 medium; make a puree.
- Ginger-garlic paste—1 tablespoon
- Curd—3 tablespoons (whipped)
- Turmeric—1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder—1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder—1 teaspoon
- Garam masala—1/2 teaspoon
- Kasuri methi—1/2 teaspoon
- Salt—as per taste
- Oil—3-4 tablespoons
- Coriander leaves—for garnish
- Water—as required
Method of making fish curry :
Wash the fish pieces and marinate them for 10 minutes by applying turmeric and salt.Heat some oil in a pan and lightly fry the fish. Then take it out on a plate and keep it aside.
Add some more oil in the same pan. Add onion and fry till it turns golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry.Now add tomato puree, turmeric, coriander powder, red chili, and salt. Cook the masala till it leaves oil.
Add whipped curd slowly and mix well on low flame. Add kasuri methi and garam masala. Now add water as per the requirement and let it boil. Then add fried fish and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes. Garnish with green coriander and serve hot fish korma with rice, jeera rice, or roti.
Do not fry the fish too much; otherwise, it may become hard. Keep the flame low while adding curd so that it does not burst. Use mustard oil for more taste.
