Final List Awaits a Fresh Date – Why the Wait?
The Final Merit List of FYJC 2025 Maharashtra 2025 much awaited at students with the jaws bit of nailing has been surprisingly postponed officially. While the original June 8 launch is now pushed to June 11, awaitetails 2025. Then came the grant portal release on June 6 and, subsequently, the date of the first merit list was extended till June 9 to July 1 when students could file objections about any personal or academic wrong details. The education department is now busy tuning the final list with everything that is updated.
Zero Round Starts June 12 – Only For Special Categories
Having the final merit list gone out of the door next important landmark in FYJC admissions is the Zero Round which will be from 12th June to 14th June. But this round is not for all the folks in it. Only for Management, HRD, and Private Quota seatsCandidates: It is a jump start for the category reservation before general admissions begin.
CAP Round 1 Timeline Confirmed – Merit List to Seat Confirmation
After the zero round is completed, the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) will take over. The CAP Round 1 merit list will be generated and announced on June 17, with live results of seat allotment set for June 26. Admission of students who are allotted a seat has to be confirmed between June 27 to July 3 through submission of required documents and payment of fee. Failing to confirm admission within the stipulated time would render the candidate ineligible for all the rounds to come.
Vacancy List and Round 2 – The Next Chance
If you are unlucky in Round 1 don’t despair, For those who are left out in Round 1. On July 7, a vacancy list of unapproved seats shall be out and CAP Round 2 shall begin. It gives the students an opportunity to pad in a handful of seats for the overcrowded junior colleges of Maharashtra.

Over 12.71 Lakh Applicants, Mumbai Takes the Lead
FYJC admissions: This year saw massive participation of over 12.71 lakh students aiming for 20 — 21 lakh seats in nearly 9,000 junior colleges. Not surprisingly, Mumbai is at the peak of the chart in applications just followed by Pune and soon going to catch up with places like Nashik, and Amravati. CAP admissions are available in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur Kolhapur Latur Amravati, and CHS (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) — Konkan is a separate entity.
