Required Ingredients
Wheat Flour—2 Cups
Fenugreek Leaves—1 Cup (finely chopped, fresh)
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Celery – 1/2 tsp
Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Sesame seeds—1 tsp
Curd—2 tbsp
Oil—2 tbsp + for frying
Salt—as per taste
Water—as per requirement
Method of preparation:
Take wheat flour in a large vessel. Add finely chopped fenugreek, turmeric, red chili, coriander powder, celery, sesame seeds, ginger-garlic paste, salt, curd, and 2 tbsp oil. Add water as per requirement and knead soft dough. Keep the dough covered for 10 minutes. Make small balls from the dough and roll them in the shape of thin roti with a rolling pin. Heat the pan and apply light oil on both sides of the thepla and fry till it turns golden. Prepare all the theplas in the same way. Serve the theplas hot with pickle, curd, buttermilk, or green chutney. Perfect for travel or tiffin too.
