Required Ingredients to ragi chilla:

Ragi flour (nachni flour) 1 cup

Gram flour, 1/4 cup (for taste and texture)

Green chili (finely chopped) 1-2

Onion (finely chopped): 1 medium size

Tomato (finely chopped) 1 small

Green coriander, 2 tablespoons

Cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon

Salt according to taste.

Water as required (for making the batter)

Oil to bake

Method of preparation  ragi chilla:

In a large bowl, add ragi flour, gram flour, onion, tomato, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, and salt. Now add water slowly and prepare a thick but pourable batter. Keep it covered for 10 minutes. Heat a non-stick pan on medium flame. Add a little oil. Pour a ladleful of batter on the pan and spread it gently. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then turn and bake the other side till it becomes golden. Serve the prepared ragi chilla hot with green chutney, curd, or tomato sauce. Ragi is an excellent source of iron, calcium, and fiber.
