However, Honda’s Activa along with Bajaj’s Pulsar and TVS’s Jupiter failed to get near Hero Splendor performance because this commuter bike is based on fuel efficiency and reliability above everything else.

Once again Hero Splendor demonstrated why it is King on the Indian Roads. The bike sold a whopping 2,07,763 units making it much stronger and boosting the distance from its nearest competitors.
Activa-the most popular two-wheeler hadn’t even come close in the figures. Shines and Pulsar were much lower down the records.
Splendor keeps breaking all records in terms of how cost-effective it is, mileage, and maintenance. New hires come at a time when fuel rates are soaring.
Its use is as much for everyday commuting as for small business owners and middle-income families. The engine is simple but strong and provides smooth rides. So reliable partnerships with millions.
The Runners Up: Who Couldn’t Beat Splendor?
None of the other two-wheeler bonneted dethroned Splendor. Though Honda Activa boasted convenience and an urban-friendly face, it could not soar to quite those heights saleswise that Hero’s bestseller rose above.
Bajaj Pulsar has a sporty flavor and hence its enthusiasts remain glued to it, though it is somehow not doing as per numbers. And for Honda Shine it is the number one choice of office-goers and riders from the city. Tough competition for TVS Jupiter another popular scooter to tussle against the market major.
What Lies Ahead for India’s Two-Wheeler Industry?
As Hero Splendor continues with its dream run the big question remains can anyone beat it? Companies are launching newer innovations upgrading the models and doling out discounts to lure customers. Breaking Splendor’s stronghold will not be easy, however.
Moving to the next quarter, eyes will now be on sales figures from the forthcoming months. Will there be surprise comebacks by Activa or Pulsar? Or will Splendor be allowed to continue its crowning reign? Time will be the only judge. At the moment, it is still king on Indian roads.
