Trainees’ revised leave and maternity policies

Trainees will receive one casual leave each month following 30 days of service under the new regulations, ten medical leave days and five special leave days will be allotted each year. Maternity leave of 180 days is available to female trainees with less than two alive children. Forty five days of maternity leave is permitted in the event of miscarriage or other medical complications but only once.

Medical Fitness Now Required Before Joining

While candidates picked for non-gazetted posts require clearance from a government doctor, those approved for gazetted positions must present a fitness certificate from a medical board.
