Honda Shine & SP 125 Dominate! Pulsar, Raider Fall Behind

Honda Shine & SP 125 Dominate

Put Two Powerhouse Bikes from Honda in the Market, While Pulsar, Raider, and Splendor Wash Down in the Dust.

Winner in 125cc Is Again Honda Shine and SP 125

Motorcycles of 125 cc have an irreplaceable place in the hearts of Indian riders and February of 2025 proved monumental. More than just ranking top this time, Honda Shine and SP 125 thumped with a resounding total of 1,39,202 units sold leaving competitors panting. It drew a remarkable boost in sales by 15.89% over last year’s figures and locked up 53.49% of the total market share with an iron grip.

Bajaj Pulsar Stays Second but Falls Short of

Honda Shine & SP 125 Dominate

While Honda flew high, the Bajaj Pulsar found it impossible to catch up. The second position is a hollow victory since the combined sales of Pulsar 125 and NS came to a mere 53,768 units. More worryingly, however, are the annual sales falling by 13.57% indicating that possibly something is changing among customer preferences.

TVS Raider Slips to Third Place as Sales Take a Nosedive

It was TVS Raider which, all of a sudden fell from being a strong competitor to third selling only 28,132 units. In fact, it’s probably the biggest surprise because the figure tells an ugly tale. It really is a 33.12% decline year on year, proving this former top seller is going off the map.

Hero Xtreme 125R Stuns Industry with 362% Boom in Sales

Hero Xtreme 125R was the only bike that caught my attention. While it was at number four, it got a staggering 361.70% growth in sales. Within a month, the model was sold 16,178 times, which means that the model started quickly becoming the dark horse of the segment.

Hero Splendor and Glamour Still Dying

Sales of the former ruling Hero Splendor which roamed the streets king till then dropped to 13,972 at the end of the month after a fall of 5.4% while Hero Glamour at number six was affected even more at a 50.06% drop, with only seven thousand nine hundred forty-two units sold.

KTM and Bajaj Freedom Fight to Survive

At the bottom of the ladder was Bajaj Freedom, managing to just squeak into the leaderboard with an impressive total of 1,027 units. By contrast, KTM models made little relative impact on the segment. Honda leads the pack, and Hero Xtreme makes waves. This segment is heading for a great shakeup in its 125cc motorcycle market. The battle for supremacy is never to be over. The competition just got more intense.
