A Starry Affair Sets Sail
Following the success of Housefull 4, Bollywood Producer Sajid Nadiadwala goes all out with Housefull 5 and fills a cruise ship with all of the stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, etc and the presence of Sanjay Dutt n Nana Patekar. The Housefull series is a franchise known for the loud laughs and over-the-top confusion this time around pushes its boundaries with a murder mystery twist and two other storylines version 5A & version 5B.
Housefull 5 Twist: Jackie Shroff Outshines Akshay in Comedy?
Comedy Meets Chaos, Again
Plot summary: A billion-dollar birthday bash goes wrong when the soon-to-be 100-year-old man dies before the celebration begins. Things heat up in the sequel when not one but three Jollos walk into the room and all lay claim to be the real legal heir. DNA tests, secrets, and then killing as the story tries desperately to be a roller coaster of suspense. Still, Two climaxes are not enough to prevent the chaos from becoming obvious.
Housefull 5 Teaser: Akshay Kumar’s Cruise Comedy Takes a Deadly Turn!
Old Jokes on a New Ship
Though the visuals of luxury cruises across the ocean are huge, the humor is still watching a playlist of recycled wife-girlfriend misunderstandings and hackny one-liners that we’ve all seen at least ten times throughout our lives. Full of slapstick, the movie barely scrapes ahead of the post-SM era in smart content. For double-meaning, jokes that are against women only add to that rather than the humor.

Nana Shines, Others Float
Nana Patekar in the crowd makes every frame steal with his laid-back performance like never before Akshay and Riteish, are making the best of comic relief that Jackie and Sanjay overdoing it ( quite literally). Though there are decent tries, not even this ensemble cast can save the dead script.
Two Climaxes, One Problem
The film dares you with two alternative endings. The twist does not redeem quite enough of the journey to be a confidence-boosting experience, though. As songs poach in between murder sequences, all tension and rhythm.
Final Boarding Call
If you’re a die-hard fan of the franchise or just craving mindless fun, Housefull 5 might offer a few laughs. But don’t expect a smart story or fresh comedy just a cruise full of stars stuck in an old-school screenplay that never really takes off.
