Ingredients for making potato chili :
Boiled potatoes—4 medium-sized (cut into small cubes)
Corn flour—3 tbsp
Flour—2 tbsp
Black pepper—1/2 tsp
Salt—according to taste
Oil—for frying and roasting
Garlic (finely chopped)—1 tbsp
Green chili—2 (chopped lengthwise)
Spring onion—1/4 cup (chopped)
Soy sauce—1 tbsp
Red chili sauce—1 tbsp
Tomato sauce—1 tbsp
Vinegar—1 tsp
Salt—as per taste
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Water—2 tbsp
Method of making potato chili :
Mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Coat the boiled potato pieces well with this mixture. Deep-fry these potatoes in hot oil till they become crispy. Keep aside. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add garlic, green chilies, and spring onion, and fry it. Now add soy sauce, red chili sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, salt, and sugar. Add 2 tbsp water and cook till it thickens slightly. Add the fried potatoes to this spicy sauce and mix well. Garnish with spring onions. Serve it as a hot starter with spring onions or sesame seeds.
