So in this article today, we have brought a very tasty recipe of sweet pulao for you, which you can prepare in minutes, and it is easily prepared by making it with fewer ingredients. Ingredients for making sweet pulao :

Basmati rice—1 cup (soaked for 30 minutes)

Sugar—3/4 cup (according to taste)

Desi ghee—3 tablespoons

Water—2 cups

Saffron—7-8 strands (soaked in 1 tablespoon hot milk)

Green cardamom—4-5 (coarsely ground)

Cloves – 3-4

Cashews—8-10 (halved)

Almonds—8-10 (thinly sliced)

Raisins—10-12

Thin coconut flakes—1 tablespoon (optional)

Yellow food color—1 pinch (optional)

Method of making sweet pulao :

Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pan. Add cloves and cardamom to it. When the aroma comes, add soaked rice and fry lightly. Add 2 cups of water and cook the rice on medium flame till it is 90% cooked. Now add sugar and soaked saffron or food coloring. Cover and cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, till the rice is completely cooked and the sweetness gets absorbed in the rice.

Heat the remaining ghee in a pan, and fry cashews, almonds, raisins, and coconut in it till it becomes light golden. Add the roasted dry fruits to the cooked sweet rice and mix gently. Serve hot or slightly cool. Give a sweet twist to festivals, puja, or children’s tiffin.
