The most serious weather warning is the red alert which has been issued in eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh. The IMD has predicted intense thunderstorms along with strong wind gusts and even hail in some places. This alert means the weather may cause serious problems so residents should stay indoors and follow official updates.
Bihar and Delhi on Watch as Rain and Thunder Set to Return
Bihar is already seeing the full impact of the monsoon. Districts like West Champaran Kishanganj and Araria are under orange alert while Sitamarhi Madhubani and Supaul have yellow alerts. These areas may face widespread showers with some lightning activity.Delhi is also under yellow alert with the forecast showing light or heavy rain gusty winds and possible thunderstorms later today. After a short break the heat is back and the weather is set to flip again.
Orange Alert in 8 States as North and Northeast Brace for Rain
The IMD has placed Assam Uttar Pradesh Meghalaya Mizoram Manipur Tripura Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh under orange alert. These states may experience strong rainfall thunder and local flooding in some areas.
