UP Boils Under Blazing Sun, But Rain May Arrive in 48 Hours!

The heat in Uttar Pradesh right now is beyond brutal The kind of heat that makes you think twice before stepping outside and in cities ,like Jhansi, Kanpur and Banda even the air feels like it’s been baked in an oven. The rooftops are radiating heat and the fans are just pushing around warm air and people are walking around with umbrellas not for rain but to block the angry sun.

But here’s the silver lining: relief might be just 48 hours away.

Heatwave Grips These UP Districts

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has raised the alarm across several parts of UP. It’s not just hot it’s dangerously hot. Here’s where the situation is most intense-

1.Severe Heat Warning: Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Etawah, Auraiya

2.Hot Wind Advisory: Kanpur, Mahoba, Banda, Hamirpur

3.Rising Temperatures and Winds in Varanasi, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Sonbhadra

These areas are witnessing fierce heat and blowing hot winds making the air dry and unbearable. A yellow alert has been issued for June 10, warning all,to take necessary precautions.

Temperature Surge Expected

Meteorologist Prof. Manoj Kumar Srivastava has warned that temperatures may rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next two days. Add dry western winds to that and it’s a recipe for a full blown heatwave. It’s the kind of weather, that makes you want to stay indoors with the curtains drawn.

Cloudy Relief From June 11?

According to IMD updates, clouds may begin covering parts of UP from June 11. While the full monsoon may take a little longer early cloud cover and potential pre monsoon showers could bring a much needed drop in temperature. For now the heat is here to stay but the wait for cooler winds won’t be long. Just two more days of this scorcher and then hopefully nature will turn down the heat.

Stay safe. Stay cool. Monsoon is almost here.
