The Pahalgam assault was not just another act of terror it was a sea change. The Indian response reflects a larger strategy in which diplomatic restraint is giving way to the hard hitting counterstrategy. The message from the government is crystal clear  terror will not be tolerated in the territory of India and any nation harboring it will pay for it. The aftermath of this retaliation can well be written as a whole new chapter in South Asian geopolitics.
