The Bihar Technical Services Commission (BTSC) has issued a notification for recruitment to a total of 4,654 positions across four different cadres this year. The application process for these positions—Work Inspector, Hostel Manager, Dental Hygienist, and Junior Engineer—will begin on October 10, 2025.

The online application process will begin on the official website, btsc.bihar.gov.in, from October 10th to November 10th, 2025. The deadline for submitting the application fee is also November 10th. The most attractive aspect of this recruitment drive is that it offers opportunities for youth from diverse educational backgrounds. The highest number of 2,747 positions is for junior engineers, including 2,591 in civil engineering, 86 in electrical engineering, and 70 in mechanical engineering. This is followed by 1,114 positions for work inspectors. 702 dental hygienist positions are available for youth in the healthcare sector. Additionally, 91 hostel manager positions will also be filled.

Educational qualifications and age limits are different for each position. For the position of hostel manager, candidates must have a B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) degree or a postgraduate diploma in hotel management after graduation. The minimum age for this position is 21 years, and the maximum age is 37 years.
Candidates interested in becoming a work inspector must have passed matriculation (10th grade) and hold a certificate from an ITI in the draftsman, civil, surveyor, or plumber trade. The minimum age for this position is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 37 years.
For recruitment as a dental hygienist, candidates must have passed the 12th grade with biology as a subject. A two-year diploma in dental hygiene and registration with the Bihar State Dental Council are also mandatory requirements. The age limit for this position is also between 18 and 37 years.
This move by the Bihar government opens the door to a bright future for the youth of the state. This is one of the largest recruitments by the Technical Services Commission in recent times, with thousands of families expected to find employment.
