CGPSC Recruitment 2025: The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has initiated the recruitment process for 55 Superintendent (Child Care Institution) positions in the Women and Child Development Department. The Commission has clarified that the number of positions may be increased or decreased if needed. Who can apply? Clear educational standards
Only candidates whose education is related to society and law will be eligible for this position. Applicants must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following subjects:
Social Work (MSW)
Sociology
Psychology
Law

Age Limit – Opportunities for young and experienced candidates
General candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of January 1, 2025.
Local candidates from Chhattisgarh will receive a 5-year age relaxation (maximum 40 years).
SC/ST/OBC, widowed, divorced, and abandoned women will also receive an additional 5-year relaxation.
The maximum age, including all relaxations, should not exceed 45 years.

Pay Scale and Position Prestige
This position falls under the Gazetted Class-II category. The pay scale is set at ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 + ₹4,300 grade pay. This, along with dearness allowance and other government allowances, makes this not only a respectable but also a golden opportunity for permanent service.
Opportunity to Correct Forms – Relief for Candidates
If any mistakes are made while applying, there is an opportunity to correct them.
Free corrections are possible from November 9 to 11, 2025.
A final opportunity to correct them will be available from November 12 to 14, 2025, by paying a fee of ₹500.
However, corrections can be made only once.

Selection Process – Written Exam and Interview
Selection for this position will be conducted in two main stages:
Written Exam – 300 marks
Interview – 30 marks
The final merit list will be prepared based on a total of 330 marks.
Exam Pattern – Subjects to be Tested
The written exam will consist of 150 objective questions, divided into two parts:
Part 1: Chhattisgarh General Knowledge (50 questions – 100 marks)
This will cover the state’s history, geography, economy, culture, tribes, industry, Panchayati Raj, and current events.
Part 2: Children-Related Topics (100 questions – 200 marks)
This section will cover laws and schemes related to the protection and development of children—
Juvenile Justice Act, POCSO Act, Right to Education, nutrition, malnutrition, maternal and infant mortality, Mission Vatsalya, PM CARES, Chief Minister Bal Uday Yojana, child psychology, and counseling.
Questions will be in both Hindi and English, with a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
