Chandauli Boat Tragedy: The joy of Chhath Puja turned into mourning when a boat capsized during the puja in Kodochak village, Chandauli district. Thousands had gathered at the Chandraprabha River ghat. People had arrived to offer prayers to the Sun God when this tragic accident occurred. Reports indicate that some people were taking selfies on a makeshift boat when it lost balance and capsized in the river. All aboard fell into the water.

Fearing for their own lives, the villagers rescued four people safely. However, several others are still feared missing.
