CSBC Bihar Constable and Jail Warder Recruitment 2025:The Central Selection Board (CSBC) has announced a major recruitment drive in Bihar. This year, recruitment is open for a total of 4,182 posts, including 1,603 Excise Constables, 2,417 Jail Warders, and 108 Mobile Squad Constables. Advertisement number 03/2025 has been issued for this recruitment. The selection process will be conducted in two stages—a written exam followed by a physical efficiency test. The written exam will be qualifying in nature, while the final merit list will be based on the physical test scores. The final merit list for Jail Warder positions will be determined by the written exam

Qualifications and Age Limit:

All positions require candidates to have at least a 12th-grade pass. The age limit varies by position—18 to 25 years for Excise and Mobile Squad Constables, and 18 to 23 years for Jail Warders. Reserved categories will receive relaxation as per government regulations.

Physical Standards:

The minimum height for male candidates is 165 cm (General/OBC) and 160 cm (EBC, SC, ST). The minimum height for women is 155 cm, and the minimum weight is 48 kg. A minimum chest size of 81 cm (86 cm when expanded) for men and 79 cm (84 cm when expanded) for SC/ST categories is mandatory.

Written Exam and Physical Test:

The written exam will be of the 10th standard level, consisting of 100 questions carrying 100 marks and a time limit of two hours. It will include questions from Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science, Science, and General Knowledge. Candidates scoring less than 30% will be disqualified from the physical test.

The physical test will be for 100 marks and will include running, high jump, and shot put. Men must complete a 1.6 km run in a maximum of 6 minutes, and women a 1 km run in 5 minutes. Higher marks will be awarded for better performance.
