Delhi Weather News IMD issues yellow alert for June 26 Rain thunderstorms and gusty winds likely across Delhi NCR Temperature drops below normal AQI stays moderate

The India Meteorological Department has given a yellow alert for Delhi so people should be prepared for rain ,thunder and strong winds in many areas of the city and nearby NCR towns. The sky has stayed cloudy and there is relief in temperature but the weather may remain unstable for the next two days.

Delhi Temperature Sees a Slight Dip Amid Rain Forecast

In Delhi the highest temperature on Wednesday was 34.9°C which is 2.3°C less than the average for this season and brought slight comfort. But the lowest temperature was 29.6°C which is 1.7°C more than normal so the night felt warm and sticky.

Humidity was high in both morning and evening as it reached 88 percent in the early hours and stayed around 74 percent by sunset. This made the weather feel hotter even when the temperature was lower than usual.

Areas Likely to Receive Rain Strong Winds and Thunder

The yellow alert by IMD means people need to be alert and aware in case the weather worsens. Rain is likely in different parts of Delhi with strong winds moving in at 30 to 40 kmph. There could also be lightning or short thunder in isolated spots in or near NCR.

Thursday Weather Forecast Cloudy Skies and Widespread Rain Ahead

The IMD said that Thursday will have mostly cloudy skies and people should expect some rain in the afternoon or evening. In many places rain may fall in short spells so carrying an umbrella is a good idea.

The lowest temperature on Thursday is likely to be around 27°C and the highest could touch 34°C. With the sky staying cloudy most of the day the sun may not be visible for long.

Delhi Air Quality Moderate But Caution Advised

In the latest data from the Central Pollution Control Board or CPCB the air quality in Delhi stayed in the moderate zone. The AQI stood at 132 in the afternoon so it is not dangerous but people with asthma or breathing trouble should take care in dusty or polluted areas.

People living in Delhi should be careful and follow weather updates in case conditions change fast. You can carry raincoats or avoid waterlogged roads during peak hours. If there are strong winds then try to stay away from trees or wires that may fall in storms. Those who are sensitive to air quality should wear masks or stay indoors.
