UIDAI has issued a toll-free helpline number 1947 for the convenience of citizens. You can get information related to your Aadhaar by calling this number.
Complete the process to get your Aadhaar number
Call 1947 from your registered mobile number. Select the language (Hindi, English, or other). Select the “Aadhaar Services” or “Aadhaar Status” option. Choose to speak to an agent. Provide information such as name, date of birth, or PIN code to verify your identity. After successful verification, the agent will walk you through the process of generating your Enrollment ID (EID) or Aadhaar Number (UID). This service is available 24×7, and you can access it from any network.
How to recover your Aadhaar number or EID online
You can also recover your Aadhaar number or enrollment ID by visiting the UIDAI website. The procedure is as follows: Open the website: https://uidai.gov.in > go to the “My Aadhaar” tab and click on Retrieve Lost or Forgotten UID/EID. You must select either “Aadhaar Number” or “Enrollment ID.” Next, enter your name, registered mobile number, or email ID. Enter the captcha code and click “Send OTP.” An OTP will be sent to your mobile phone. Enter it and click “Verify OTP.” Once the verification is complete, your Aadhaar number or EID will be sent to your mobile phone via SMS.

If you don’t have internet access, you can also recover your Aadhaar number or EID via SMS. To do this, send a message from your registered mobile number to the UIDAI server in a specific format: Format: UID GETUID or UID GETEID. Send this message to 1947. Your Aadhaar or enrollment ID will arrive on your mobile shortly.
