Great news for teachers in Bihar, Education Minister announces new TRE-4 and STET 2025 exams

TRE-4 and STET 2025 exams: Teachers in Bihar have received significant relief. On Monday, Education Minister Sunil Kumar held a press conference in the state Education Department auditorium and made important announcements regarding TRE-4 recruitment and STET 2025. The Minister stated that the TRE-4 recruitment vacancies will be submitted to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) within the next five days. Following this, the BPSC will proceed with the recruitment process, and the process of appointing teachers will begin soon.

STET 2025: Application and Exam Dates Announced

Education Minister Sunil Kumar also shared information about the application process for STET 2025. He informed that the last date for applying for STET this year is September 27, 2025. The examination will be conducted from October 12th to October 31st, 2025. For teachers awaiting the results, the results will be released on November 16th, 2025.

Sunil Kumar also clarified that the Education Department’s priority is to complete the recruitment process in a transparent manner, without compromising the convenience of teachers and the studies of students.

Transfer Process: 17,000 Teachers Will Get a Second Chance

The Education Minister also spoke in detail about the transfer process. He stated that as of September 13th, a total of 41,689 teachers had applied for transfer. Of these, 24,600 teachers were successfully transferred to one of their three selected districts. However, approximately 17,000 teachers were not transferred to any of their three selected districts.

Sunil Kumar clarified that these 17,000 teachers will now be given another opportunity. They can opt for three new districts on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal from September 23 to September 28, 2025, abandoning the previously provided options. This step has been taken to increase transparency and provide convenience to teachers.

Government Strategy: Focus on both Transparency and Convenience

The Education Minister stated that the government’s goal is to make the recruitment and transfer process completely transparent. Sunil Kumar stated that all processes will be completed digitally through the e-Shiksha portal, ensuring no irregularities in both recruitment and transfer.

This initiative by the Education Department in Bihar will not only provide relief to teachers but will also help improve the level of education in the state. The goal is to complete the TRE-4 and STET 2025 processes on time, allowing teachers to assume their duties on time in the upcoming academic session.
