IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2025: Big news for applicants regarding the IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2025 has arrived. The institute has once again increased the number of positions. The number of positions in this recruitment drive has now increased to 15,684, from 13,533 previously. This means that 2,151 additional positions have been added in the second update. Initially, the notification listed only 10,277 positions, which have been increased to 13,533 and now 15,684.

The preliminary exam was held on October 4 and 5, 2025, and candidates are now awaiting the results. With the increase in positions, it is believed that the preliminary cutoff this year may be slightly lower than last year, raising the expectations of many candidates.

With all your figures remaining unchanged, the number of posts in each state according to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and UR categories will be revised. The numbers are the same as those listed. For example:

Main Exam Pattern

General/Financial Awareness – 40 questions, 50 marks

English – 40 questions, 40 marks

Reasoning/Computer – 40 questions, 60 marks

Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions, 50 marks

After the Mains, candidates will also have to take a local language test. Candidates who have studied the language of their state in class 10 or above will not need to take this test.

Negative Marking

0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer in both the Prelims and Mains exams.

Final Selection

The final merit will be determined solely on the basis of marks obtained in the Mains exam.
