IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2025: The IBPS has released the revised vacancy list for Clerk Recruitment 2025. This year, a total of 13,533 positions will be filled. Previously, this number was 10,277, which means an increase of 2,837 positions. Uttar Pradesh has seen the largest increase, while Delhi and Uttarakhand have seen a decrease.

Madhya Pradesh: Increased from 601 to 755
Chhattisgarh: Increased from 214 to 298
Gujarat: Increased from 753 to 860
West Bengal: Increased from 540 to 992
Karnataka: Increased from 1,170 to 1,248
Telangana: Increased from 261 to 302
Tripura: Increased from 32 to 59
While the number of vacancies in Delhi decreased from 416 to 279, and in Uttarakhand from 102 to 95.

Exam Pattern
The preliminary exam was held on October 4 and 5, 2025. Now, candidates are awaiting the main exam.

Total Questions: 155
Total Marks: 200
Subject-wise Questions and Marks:
General/Financial Awareness: 40 questions, 50 marks
English Language: 40 questions, 40 marks
Reasoning Ability: 40 questions, 60 marks
Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions, 50 marks
A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer. After the Main Exam, candidates will also be given a local language test. Candidates who have studied their state language as a subject in 10th grade or higher will not be required to take this test.
Selection Process and Merit
The final merit list for IBPS Clerk Recruitment will be prepared solely on the basis of Main Exam scores.
Pay Scale
The starting basic pay for the Clerk position is ₹24,050, which can increase to ₹64,480.
The increase in the number of positions in the IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2025 has brought significant relief to candidates. Due to the increased number of positions, the Prelims cutoff is expected to be relatively low. Candidates who have passed the Prelims exam should now focus fully on preparing for the Mains exam.
