Heavy Rain to Sweep Northern and Central India This Week
The monsoon is back in full force and this time it is bringing more than just light showers. As per the India Meteorological Department or IMD people in Western Uttar Pradesh should get ready for steady rainfall in cloudy skies with chances of thunderstorms between July 11 and July 17..This rainy spell will not just affect UP but will also sweep through Rajasthan Madhya Pradesh Uttarakhand and Telangana as the monsoon builds up over most parts of India.
Rainstorm Radar in UP Rajasthan Brace for Impact
In Western UP daily life could get disrupted as IMD predicts rainfall in cloudy skies from July 11 to 15.
Here is how the rain is expected to move across the northern states in the coming days:
- Eastern Rajasthan Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may receive rain up to July 17
- Jammu and Kashmir will likely see wet days starting July 14
- Eastern UP will get heavier spells on July 12 and July 15
- Western Rajasthan could witness steady showers from July 12 to 16
- Uttarakhand is on alert for very heavy rainfall on July 15 and 16 so landslides and waterlogging are possible
- Southern Haryana may receive rainfall on July 11
Central India to Stay Soaked All Week
- Madhya Pradesh is expected to see rain every day from July 11 to July 17
- Chhattisgarh is on alert for rainfall from July 11 to 14 and Jharkhand will also see showers from July 11 to 15
- Bihar will have rain spells on July 11 July 15 and July 16
- Odisha is in line for showers from July 11 to 16 and Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal will likely get rain between July 13 and 16
Northeast and Telangana Thunderstorm Alert On
The northeast states will remain under thunderstorm alert in the coming days.
- Assam and Meghalaya may see stormy conditions and showers from July 12 to 17
- Mizoram and Tripura are expected to have similar weather from July 13 to 15 and Arunachal Pradesh from July 14 to 17
- In Telangana districts like Adilabad ,Mancherial, Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem will experience light to moderate rainfall in thunderstorm activity with wind speeds going up to 30 to 40 kilometers per hour over the next five days
