KRK States He Isn’t Muslim, Doesn’t Believe Mahabharat or Religion Exists, ‘Maalik’ is a Flop

Kamaal R Khan, also known as KRK, is a Bollywood actor and film critic who was recently in the news. This time not for a film review but for saying something extremely controversial about religion and Indian mythology. Yesterday, on Sunday, KRK tweeted something on his official X account, @kamaalrkhan, which moved sentiments on the web.He wrote:

“I am not a Muslim. I don’t believe in religion. I like courageous people and honest things. I don’t believe in mythology like Mahabharat.”

This was to someone who had labelled him a Muslim in his comment. KRK had outrightly said he does not believe in any religion and also does not believe in epic tales like Mahabharat either.

People divided on his statement

As expected, people had mixed feelings. Some were hurtful, saying KRK disrespected Indian culture. Others felt he was just being honest about his beliefs.

Many users replied to him:

“So you’re too smart to believe in your roots, huh”“

“At least he’s being real, unlike so many fake celebs.”

The post soon went viral with thousands of likes, shares, and furious arguments. Hashtags such as #KRK and #Mahabharata again began trending. Some even tagged the political leaders and religious leaders and requested them to react. But KRK never posted any follow-up. He simply let the mess speak.

KRK declares Rajkummar Rao’s film a disaster

Apart from religion, KRK also spoke about actor Rajkummar Rao’s film Maalik releasing on the 11th of July under fire. Even before the film was released in theaters, KRK conducted a poll and delivered his verdict.

He tweeted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account:

“Only 33 percent have replied that they would go and watch Maalik in cinemas. So, the first day can be 2 to 3 crore, and a lifetime could be 20 to 25 crore. Budget is 60 crore. Sorry, this will be a flop.”

No reaction has been observed from Rajkummar or the film unit till date. Perhaps they are ignoring it or perhaps waiting for release.

KRK is famous for his tongue and posts without any filter. He does not hold back in criticizing anybody, whether a political figure or a celebrity. Love him or dislike him, he does excel in drawing attention.

Some people call him an attention seeker, while others claim that whatever he says, many are afraid of saying. Be it so, his latest statement has yet again made social media abuzz.

The people are waiting to see whether his prediction regarding Maalik comes true or not,or whether the film contradicts him.
