MP Police Recruitment 2025: A major recruitment process has begun under the Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters, Home Department. The MP Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has invited online applications for recruitment to 500 posts of Subedar (Ministerial), Stenographer, and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).
The application process began on October 3, 2025, and interested candidates can apply until October 17, 2025, on the official website, http://esb.mp.gov.in. Correction in the application form will be available from October 3 to October 22, 2025. The examination will be conducted from December 10, 2025, at various examination centers in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Khandwa, Jabalpur, Neemuch, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, and Sidhi. It is noteworthy that recruitment for these posts has been announced after a gap of eight years.

Pay Scale
Subedar – ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800
ASI – ₹19,500 to ₹62,000
Educational Qualifications
For Subedar (Stenographer) –
Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examination from a recognized board.
Passed the shorthand test at 100 words per minute.
Passing the CPCT exam, including Hindi typing, is mandatory.
Also, a computer diploma from DOEACC, ITI (COPA), Polytechnic, or a recognized university is required.
For ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) –
12th grade pass.

Also, a BCA/MCA/IT degree or a computer diploma (DOEACC, ITI COPA, Polytechnic, etc.) is required.
Physical Qualification (Height)
Male candidates – 162 cm
Female candidates – 152 cm

Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation as per state government rules.
Selection Process
Selection for this recruitment will be conducted in two stages. The first stage will consist of an online written examination of 100 marks, which will include questions from general knowledge, intelligence, mathematics, and science. The second stage will consist of document verification and a practical exam (typing/shorthand). For the stenographer position in particular, the scores from the written exam and the shorthand/typing practical exam will be combined to form the final selection list. Both exams will be evaluated based on 100 points each.
