NIOS Date Sheet: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released the date sheet for the public theory examinations for Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) for 2025. This year’s examinations will be held from October 14th to November 18th at selected examination centers across the country and abroad. The institute has clarified that there will be no changes to the theory exam timetable after it is released.
Practical Exams Completed First
Before the theory exams, practical exams for both Class 10 and 12 students were conducted between September 12th and 27th. With the practical exams completed, students can now fully focus on preparing for the theory exams.
Class 10: Main Subjects and Dates
Class 10 students’ exams will begin on October 14th, with papers on Sanskrit Literature and Entrepreneurship. On October 16, papers for regional languages such as Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Assamese, and Tamil will be held. The Hindi paper will be held on October 24, and the Mathematics paper on October 30. The English exam will be held on November 11, while the Accountancy and Sanskrit Grammar exams will be the final exam on November 18. In the intervening dates, exams for subjects such as Social Science, Business Studies, Science and Technology, Economics, and Computer Science will be held.
Class 12: Subjects and Exam Sequence
Class 12 exams will also begin on October 14, with the Early Childhood Education paper on the first day. Psychology and Sanskrit Grammar papers will be held on October 15. Geography exams will be held on October 16, and regional languages on October 24. Chemistry, Political Science, and Mass Communication papers will be held on October 29. The English paper will be held on October 31, and the Computer Science and Sociology exams will be held on November 3. Physics, History, and Environmental Science exams will be held on November 6. The Mathematics and Vedic Studies paper will be held on November 11th, and finally, the Hotel Management and Skill-Based Subject exam will be held on November 18th.
Hall Tickets and Preparation Tips
NIOS has clarified that hall tickets for registered students will be available on the official website, sdmis.nios.ac.in. Students are advised to download their admit cards and deposit their exam fees on time. Studying according to the timetable will ensure systematic and effective preparation.
Results and Certificates
Results will be declared approximately seven weeks after the completion of the theory exams. NIOS has also clarified that no inquiries regarding the exact result date will be entertained. Marksheets-cum-Certificates and Migration Certificates will also be provided to students after the results are declared. Students whose Academic Institutes (AIs) have been cancelled will have these documents sent directly to their homes.
Final Advice for Students
After the release of the date sheet, NIOS has emphasized that there will be no changes to it. Therefore, students should prepare well in time, deposit the exam fees, and complete their studies as per the scheduled dates.
