Change UPI PIN without debit card: Today, most people prefer to do all transactions, big or small, online. Whether it is to buy goods worth Rs 50 at the shop or transfer thousands of rupees to someone, UPI is being used everywhere. The hassle of keeping cash has reduced, and making payments through mobile in a few seconds has now become a common thing. The reason for this revolution is the UPI payment system, which has made digital transactions easy and safe across the country.

Why is the UPI PIN necessary?

Whenever a user makes a transaction through the UPI app, a PIN is required for security. This PIN is usually of 4 or 6 digits. Without this PIN, neither money can be sent to anyone nor a transfer from one account to another be possible. But many times people forget this PIN. Earlier in such a situation, a new PIN could be created only with the help of a debit card. But now this hassle is over.

Big relief from NPCI’s new facility

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has now given the facility to users to set a new UPI PIN or change the old PIN even without a debit card. Aadhaar card can now be used for this. This step is a big relief for millions of people who do not have a debit card but want to make digital payments.

How to change UPI PIN with an Aadhaar card

When a user wants to create a new PIN or change the old PIN, now two options will appear on the app. First debit card and second Aadhaar card. If the user chooses the Aadhaar card option, then he will have to enter the first six digits of the Aadhaar number. After this, an OTP will come to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar. The process of setting a new PIN is completed as soon as the OTP is entered.

The thing to note here is that your mobile number should be linked to both your Aadhaar card and bank account. Only then the OTP will come correctly, and the process will be successful.
