Panchayat Cast Salary Revealed: Faisal Malik Shares How Payment Really Works Behind the Scenes

Panchayat – Faisal Malik shares how actors  are paid in phases with contract clauses deciding hikes and final payment after release.

Panchayat Star Faisal Malik Opens Up About How Actors Get Paid — It’s Not What You Think

The hit web series Panchayat has captured the hearts of millions but the way actors are paid for their work might surprise many. While the show looks light and simple on the surface the reality behind the scenes tells a very different story. Faisal Malik who plays Prahlad in the series recently spoke up and shared how the payment system for the cast actually works in the industry.

What the Main Cast Earns Per Episode

A report from Business Standard revealed what some of the cast members earn for each episode.

  • Jitendra Kumar reportedly makes around ₹70000
  • Neena Gupta is paid ₹50000
  • Raghubir Yadav gets ₹40000
  • Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy are paid close to ₹20000 each

If these figures are right then Jitendra earns close to ₹5.6 lakh for the entire season. This might seem good on paper but fans feel it does not match the value these actors bring to a show as popular as Panchayat.

Faisal Malik Says It’s All in the Timing

In a podcast chat with Raunac ,Faisal did not confirm the salary numbers but he gave some insight into how the payment process works. He said money discussions start only after an actor agrees to do the project. Faisal added with a smile that things were good on his side and said “Sab acha tha”.

What surprised many though is that actors do not receive the full amount right away.

Salaries Come in Installments Over Months

Faisal explained that actors are paid in different phases spread across the timeline of the entire production.

  • One part is given when the contract is signed
  • Another comes in when shooting begins
  • A portion is paid during the middle of the shoot
  • Then another after filming and dubbing ends
  • The final payment is cleared only after the show is released

So an actor might wait many months or even a full year to receive their complete payment. Faisal said unless the show comes out the last payment remains on hold.

Want a Raise Better Put It in Writing

Talking about salary hikes Faisal said you only get a raise if it is clearly written in your contract. No matter how well the show performs your payment does not increase unless you have added that clause from the start. Faisal smiled and said he was smart enough to include it so everything worked out fine for him.

Season 5 Confirmed for 2026

Fans who just finished enjoying Season 4 now have another reason to smile as Panchayat Season 5 has been confirmed and is expected to come in 2026. While the story of Phulera moves forward the truth behind how the actors are paid adds another layer of reality to this beloved show.
