Lakhs of Indian farmers are waiting very eagerly for PM Kisan Yojana’s 20th installment. As per this government scheme, each year farmers, are granted ₹6,000, delivered in three ₹2,000 installments.The previous installment was credited on 24 February 2025, and now more than four months have already lapsed without the next installment.
When Will the 20th PM Kisan Installment Be Announced?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi can announce the 20th installment while in Varanasi on 2 August 2025, news reports said. He had made last year’s 17th installment announcement from the same location in the midst of the Kharif season. If so this time also, the farmers can receive the ₹2,000 amount credited in early August.
Though the date has not been declared by the government yet, sources state that the process is on the last stage of processing and all the processes are reaching the end.
What To Do by Farmers to Receive the ₹2000?
It is clarified by the government that any document mismatches or missing information can ruin the payment. Are here the task to-do:
- Do e-KYC on pmkisan.gov.in or at your local CSC center.
- Make your bank account Aadhaar-linked.
- Make sure the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) facility is enabled on your account to receive payments.
- Double-check your IFSC code, account number, and name to avoid payment issues.
- Ensure your name is in the beneficiary list on the PM Kisan website.
If you have missed any of the above, your payment will be stuck.
How to Check PM Kisan Beneficiary List?
To check if your name is in:
1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in
2. Click on ‘Beneficiary List’ under ‘Farmer Corner’
3. Choose your state, district, block, and village
4. Click ‘Get Report’ and enter your name
If your name appears, then you can get the next ₹2000 installment.
Who Is Eligible for PM Kisan Scheme?
If you are a farmer owning agricultural land and exempted from income tax, then you can apply. But if you are government employee or your land is institutional, then you cannot apply. And also, the new Farmer Registry has now become mandatory and can be submitted online or at a CSC center.
Who Will Not Receive the 20th Installment?
You might miss the payment if:
- e-KYC is not done
- Aadhaar not linked to bank account
- DBT is inactive
- Land records are not available
- Your name is missing from the beneficiary list.
