The panels, however, are not too heavy, 10 to 20 kilograms per square meter, but the roof is strong enough to bear it. The authorities will check the rooftop in advance to see if it has enough space and is safe.
Government Offers up to ₹78,000 Subsidy

₹60,000 for 2 kW system
₹78,000 for 3 kW and above
As the installation cost of a 1 kW solar panel is roughly ₹60,000–70,000, it means that this subsidy pays for nearly half of the cost, so it is an excellent deal for double-income families, middle-class families, and small families.
