Punjab on High Alert 2025 :On Thursday Punjab faced a serious situation when an email threatened the holy Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib. So the Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, held a sudden meeting at his official home in Chandigarh, with DGP Gaurav Yadav and senior police officers.
The meeting was intense and emotional , because the safety of such a sacred place cannot be taken lightly. In moments like these leaders act fast or things can get out of control.
CM Mann Takes Immediate Action After Threat
CM Mann took quick action in the meeting and DGP Gaurav Yadav shared what steps the police had taken so far. Other senior IPS officers were also present.In the meeting CM gave clear orders that the police must stay alert and active in every part of Punjab. He said there should not be any gap in security and police near the border areas must stay sharp.
Focus on Key Departments and Ground Work
The Chief Minister didn’t stop at one review. He called for reports from all key units like the Anti Gangster Task Force the Anti Narcotics Wing the Cyber Cell the Law and Order teams and the Traffic department.
After the meeting CM Mann posted on X where he said the police is working to find out who sent the email and from where. The message was clear that Punjab is not going to sit back in fear.
Public Appeal: Stay Calm and Trust the Police
CM Mann told the people of Punjab not to panic or believe fake news. He said Punjab is strong in its unity and no one will be allowed to break that peace.He said every religious place is sacred and everyone has the right to pray without fear. The government is doing its part and the public should stay alert but calm.
Increased Security at Sensitive and Public Places
CM Mann asked the police to increase presence in religious spots in busy markets in government offices in bus stands or railway stations and in public places like malls or multiplexes.
Police teams will also work in plain clothes and other agencies are on alert. In every district SSPs and police heads were told to do night checking and to set up checkpoints at state or district borders. Every vehicle will be checked so no risk goes unnoticed.
A Strong Message of Unity and Resolve
This threat was serious but it brought Punjab together. In this time the police acted fast the leaders stayed focused and the people stood united.
Punjab will not bend in fear and no one will be allowed to break its peace. So even though the streets are calm there is strong security behind the scenes and every eye is open.
