Rain havoc in Madhya Pradesh: Once again, heavy rains have started in Madhya Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in 14 districts on Monday. Among these, Dewas, Harda, Khandwa, and Burhanpur are such districts, where very heavy rains are expected within the next 24 hours. At the same time, a heavy rain warning has also been issued in the other 10 districts of Bhopal, Indore, Narmadapuram, and Jabalpur divisions.
The effect increased due to the monsoon trough and low low-pressure area
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the monsoon trough and active low-pressure area passing through the west-south part of the state, more rain is being seen in Indore and Ujjain divisions. This is the reason that the activities of the system will remain for the next three days, and the series of heavy rains will continue. On Monday, heavy rains are expected in Khargone, Barwani, Dhar, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna.
Clouds rained in many districts on Sunday
Rain continued in many districts of the state on Sunday as well. Heavy rain in Sheopur brought relief to people from the heat and humidity. Pithampur in Dhar also received heavy rain. However, the sun shone in Bhopal, which further increased the feeling of humidity. Apart from this, light rain was recorded in Datia, Guna, Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Damoh, and Jabalpur. About one and a half inches of rain were recorded in Khandwa district.
The effect will remain for the next three days
According to Dr. Divya E. Surendran, senior scientist of the Meteorological Department, the low-pressure area active in the southern part will show its effect for the next two to three days. Due to this, heavy rain is expected in the entire state.
Rainfall above normal
According to the information, since the arrival of the monsoon on June 16, an average of 31.3 inches of rain has been recorded in the state so far.
