Rajasthan Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall Predicted in Next 24 Hours, Red and Orange Warnings in Multiple Districts

The next 24 hours can be turbulent for a majority of the districts of Rajasthan, has stated the Meteorological Department. Red alert has been issued for various places, warning heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms.

The department has issued a warning that on July 19, heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning can be seen in various parts of the state.

Red Alert for These Districts

Red alert for heavy to extremely heavy rain with thunderstorms has been declared in parts of the following districts:

Ajmer

Baran

Bhilwara

Bundi

Kota

Rajsamand

Tonk

Nagaur

Pali

Gusty winds blowing between 60 to 70 km/h can be seen during this period. Lightning can also be seen in some parts.

Orange Alert in These Districts

Orange alert thunderstorms and heavy rain warning issued in these regions:-

Chittorgarh

Dungarpur

Jaipur

Jhalawar

Pratapgarh

Sawai Madhopur

Sirohi

Udaipur

Jalore

Jodhpur

Wind speeds are expected to range between 50 and 60 km/h with chances of lightning in some parts.

Yellow alert has been issued in areas of:

Banswara

Karauli

Sikar

Barmer

Bikaner

Churu

Winds here may blow at 40 to 50 km/h, with thunderstorm and heavy rain also.

Rain Alert for July 19

There will be an unsteady weather on July 19. Red alert has been declared for Ajmer, Sirohi, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Pali; rains, thunderstorm, and lightning would characterize the day.

Bhilwara districts, Rajsamand, Sikar, Udaipur, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, and Jaisalmer are forecasted to experience severe rainfall, thunder, and high-speed winds as yellow alerts have been issued in some of these places

The Meteorological Department also warns the residents of the areas affected to take precautions and be careful.
