The RRB NTPC UG exam is for candidates seeking government jobs in the Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC).
Exam Overview
The NTPC UG CBT-1 exam was conducted from August 7 to September 9, 2025. The duration of the exam was 90 minutes, and a total of 100 questions were asked. Candidates’ ability, time management, and sound decision-making were tested in answering the questions. Following the exam, RRB released the provisional answer key on September 15, 2025. Candidates were also given the opportunity to raise objections to the answer key until September 20, 2025.
A total of 3,445 graduate-level positions will be filled under this recruitment process. These include key positions such as Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, and Trains Clerk.
Selection Process Details
The RRB NTPC UG selection process involves multiple stages. The first stage is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). For some positions, candidates are also required to take a Computer-Based Typing Skill Test (TST). For example, the Typing Skill Test is mandatory for Accounts Clerk and Junior Clerk positions.
Negative marking of one-third of the marks is also applicable in the CBT, so candidates must be careful when answering. Successful candidates will then undergo document verification and a medical test. Document verification and medical tests will be conducted only after the two-stage CBT for Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Train Clerk positions.
