Sahher Bambba Journey: The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s web series The Bads of Bollywood has been launched recently, and since then, it has been in the headlines continuously. Lakshya Lalwani and Saher Bamba are playing the lead roles in this series. While Lakshya is playing the role of an outsider, “Aasman”, Saher is the daughter of a superstar. Bobby Deol is playing the role of this superstar, Ajay Talwar. Interestingly, Saher has had a special relationship with the Deol family in real life, too. The journey started from the valleys of Shimla
Sahar Bamba was born in Shimla. But his dream was not limited to the mountains. After completing his studies, he moved to Mumbai at the age of just 20. He took admission in Jai Hind College, but there was only one desire in his heart – to work in films.
The family was initially not happy with his decision to go to Mumbai. But finally, she had to agree. This is where Sahar’s real struggle began.
Beginning of the struggle and dreams
After coming to Mumbai, Sahar had to face many difficulties. She had to live in a single room hostel with eight girls. She had no experience with the world of auditions, and neither did she understand how to move forward in this industry.
Every day, she would catch a local train from Churchgate to go for auditions, but the result was always zero. In an old interview, Sahar had said that this period was very difficult. But the dream of coming in front of the camera kept pushing her forward.
Bombay Times Fresh Face changed her fate
Amidst this struggle, she came to know about a beauty pageant called Bombay Times Fresh Face. In the year 2016, she participated in it and won the award.
This was the moment that changed the direction of her life. Actually, at the same time, Sunny Deol was making a film to launch his son Karan Deol. About 400 girls had been auditioned, but none of them were fitting. Only then did the casting team get to know about Sahar winning the pageant.
In 2017, Sahar was called, and she auditioned. Later, she came to know that this audition was for Sunny Deol’s film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. This film, released in 2019, may not have performed well at the box office, but Sahar’s film journey started from here.
Got the way to OTT after debut
Sahar Bamba did not give up after her debut. She played the strong character of Maham Begum in Hotstar’s historical web series The Empire. Her acting was appreciated in this show based on Babur.
Her TV series Dil Beqarar was also released in the same year. After this, in 2024, she appeared in the OTT film The Miranda Brothers. Gradually, she proved that she is not limited to just a debut film, but is constantly making her mark on the basis of hard work and talent.
Return from The Bads of Bollywood
Now Sahar Bamba is once again in the news. She plays Bobby Deol’s daughter in Aryan Khan’s series The Bads of Bollywood. The show will stream on Netflix from September 18.
While Lakshya Lalwani is struggling as the outsider Aasman, Sehar will be seen as a girl from a filmy family. Interestingly, Bobby Deol, with whom she is sharing the screen, comes from the same Deol family that launched her in her first film.
From Shimla to the glittering screen
