SSC Recruitment 2024: UP & Bihar Youth Dominate SSC 2024 Exams with 22%–37% Participation

SSC Recruitment 2024: Youth from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar continue to dominate the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruitment exams. In the last five major recruitments for various central government departments, between 22% and 37% of selected candidates came from these two states, which fall under the Central region. These figures clearly indicate that the youth of UP and Bihar are leading the country in terms of competitive exam preparation.

Recently released data shows that the Central region performed the best in the results of the Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment Exam 2024. Of the 1,700 selected candidates, 625, or approximately 36.76%, were from this region. This fact also indicates that the level of candidates from these states is extremely high, even in examinations for technical positions.

Similarly, in another major SSC recruitment, the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2024, 29.21% of selected candidates (out of 999) were from UP and Bihar, selected for positions such as Lower Division Clerk and Junior Secretariat Assistant. These two states also accounted for 28.85% of the selected candidates in the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havildar Recruitment 2024.

The Central region also contributed 22.10% to the prestigious graduate-level exam, the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2024, and constable recruitment in various armed forces, a significant share at the national level.

Key Reasons Behind Success

Experts believe that the favorable educational environment and coaching infrastructure in cities like Prayagraj, Patna, and Lucknow are a major reason behind this consistent success. Furthermore, the youth from these states are seen to have seriousness, dedication, and disciplined preparation for government jobs. Consistent practice and dedication give them an edge in the country’s toughest competitive exams.

Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Regional Director, SSC Central Region, described this performance as encouraging. These figures highlight not only the hard work of the youth but also the success of the competitive ecosystem created in these regions.
