UP Home Guard Vacancy 2025: There’s great news for young people seeking government jobs in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has implemented the One-Time Registration (OTR) system for Home Guard recruitment. This means that any candidate wishing to apply for Home Guard recruitment will first need to complete the OTR. The link has been activated on the board’s official website, http://uppbpb.gov.in.
The Home Guard recruitment process for approximately 45,000 posts is about to begin, and the board will soon release a detailed notification. Candidates who have already completed the OTR for other recruitments will not need to do so again.
Why was OTR made mandatory?
The One-Time Registration system has been implemented so that candidates don’t have to enter their information repeatedly for each recruitment. This makes the application process faster and transparent. The information provided during registration is digitally secured and can be easily used in future recruitments. This system will also help prevent fraudulent applications.
How will registration be conducted?
Candidates will need a unique email ID and mobile number to complete the OTR process. This information cannot be changed throughout the recruitment process. Applicants can verify their identity through Aadhaar, DigiLocker, driving license, PAN, or passport.
Only the information provided on their 10th-grade certificate will be considered valid for registration. Name, gender, and date of birth will be the same as those on their high school certificate. If DigiLocker does not provide the 10th-grade certificate, candidates can enter their own information.
Application Process and Eligibility
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age, and the minimum qualification is a 10th-grade pass. The application process will be completely online. Candidates will be registered in proportion to the vacancies in each district.
Following the written examination, a physical standard test, document verification, and a physical efficiency test will be conducted. A final selection list will be released for those who succeed.
Physical Test and Eligibility Rules
Male candidates must complete a 4.8-kilometer run in 25 minutes, while women must run 2.4 kilometers in 14 minutes. The minimum height limit for men is 168 centimeters, and for women, it must be 152 centimeters. Men must have a chest circumference of 79 centimeters without expansion and 84 centimeters with expansion. Women must have a minimum weight of 40 kilograms.
Additional Points and Preference
NCC certificate holders will receive additional points—three points for those with a ‘C’ certificate, two points for those with a ‘B’ certificate, and one point for those with an ‘A’ certificate. Additionally, Bharat Scouts and Guides certificate holders and those with a valid four-wheeler driving license will also receive additional points.
If two candidates have the same score, the older candidate will be given preference. In the event of a tie, selection will be based on the English alphabetical order of their names.
Candidates can apply only in their own district
Candidates can apply only for their native district. Candidates who are regularly employed in any corporation, body, or undertaking or who have been removed from service, will not be eligible to apply. Furthermore, those with pending criminal cases or who have more than one wife or husband will also be considered ineligible.
