Uttarakhand government gave a big gift to the employees, increase in dearness allowance (DA) will provide relief

Dearness allowance: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given a big gift to lakhs of government employees and pensioners of the state. The Chief Minister has provided relief to the employees working in public bodies and undertakings by announcing an increase in dearness allowance (DA). This increase has been made on the basis of the recommendations of the Fifth and Sixth Pay Commissions, which will put an additional amount in the pockets of the employees every month.

According to the decision of the government, the dearness allowance of the employees with the fifth pay scale has been increased from 455% to 466%, while the DA of the employees with the sixth pay scale has been increased from 246% to 252%. These revised rates will be effective from January 1, 2025. After this decision, employees and pensioners will get additional benefits ranging from about Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,200 per month.

This move of the Dhami government will provide some relief from inflation to thousands of employee families of the state. For example, if the basic salary of an employee is Rs 20,000, then he will get an additional benefit of about Rs 2,200 per month after the DA increase.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is always committed to working in the interest of employees and pensioners. In view of the rising inflation, this decision will strengthen the financial condition of the employees.

It is worth noting that dearness allowance is given to the employees of the central and state governments to balance the rate of inflation. It is increased from time to time so that the salary earners and pensioners can get relief from the pressure of rising prices.

With this decision of the Uttarakhand government, now the employees will get direct benefit and their monthly salary will increase significantly. There is an atmosphere of happiness in government circles after this announcement, while the employees and pensioners have welcomed this decision.
