But now this hassle is over. The new feature will allow users to post a status from the info screen of the WhatsApp group itself.
Will remain live for 24 hours, will be visible as soon as you tap on the group icon
According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature is being tested in WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.25.22.11. In this, users will get a new option in the group info, through which they will be able to share direct status updates. These updates will remain active for 24 hours, and after that, they will be removed automatically. To see them, you have to tap on the group icon. Not only this, these statuses will also appear in the status tab of WhatsApp, but only group members will be able to open them.
Completely secure, with end-to-end encryption
The company has also clarified that this feature will come with complete end-to-end encryption, which will maintain the privacy of the user. Currently, this feature is available only to select beta users, but as soon as its testing phase is completed, it will be released to all users as a globally stable version.
