New version of Terminal 2
All the services of the Delhi Airport are now being shifted to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. With a capacity of 4 crore passengers in a year in Terminal 1, Terminal 2 will be undergoing a major construction and renovating the airport to meet the new technology and advanced airports.
The primary focus in doing so is to make Terminal 2 to meet up the standard of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 and aim to make it an International Airport in coming years.
All new features like Baggage Handling Systems, Automated Baggage Kiosks, self service check-ins will also be available in the Terminal 2.
As Terminal 2 is already close to Terminal 3 and is directly connected with the Delhi Airport metro, it can be considered as the center point for all the International Flights. The positive side of making it an International Airport is, it just hardly takes 20 minutes to reach Terminal 1 by road.
