IPL 2025 will resume soon in May around 16 or 17 may. But the BCCI might extend it to 1 June. Though there is no official news out yet but as per Media reports IPL will be resumed soon. During the situation of War between India and Pakistan, the 2 main Australian players might skip the remaining matches.
Will Mitchell Starc play in the remaining matches?
IPL 2025 was suspended for a week, soon after the India-Pakistan situation got worse. All the players were worried about their safety due to this. As per the Australian News, ‘Nine News’, Mitchell Starc won’t be coming back to India for IPL 2025. The manager of Starc has also made the statement that Starc won’t be returning back to India for the IPL. Similarly, there’s no update from Marcus Stonis as well, though he confirmed that all of his team members are safe now.
Mitchell Starc has been a key player for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. He has a total of 14 wickets in 12 matches and go to bowler for the team. He is also the highest wicket taker in the team. Delhi Capitals purchased him for 11.75 crore in the mega auction.
Is Josh Hazlewood out?
Apart from Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood may also not be available for the remaining matches in IPL 2025. He is suffering from shoulder Injury, due to which he cannot play further. Josh got injured during the match against CSK on May 3.
