Explosive Retaliation Amidst Hardcore Killing of Tourists

Massive demolition operations were carried out by security forces in South Kashmir against two terrorists belonging to Lashkar-i-Taiba. The multinational operations immediately followed the Pahalgam terror strike in which 26 tourists were brutally killed. Houses of terrorists Asif Sheikh in Tral (Pulwama district) and Adil Thokar in Bijbehara (Anantnag district) were blown to pieces under controlled blast a video of which has already gone viral on social media.

Terrorists Fleeing as Forces Tighten Hold

A major ambush followed by a deadly attack in Baisaran Valley kills one Nepalese national and 25 Indian tourists. A full on manhunt activity was initiated due to the penetration of intelligence into cases investigation. Bhago came up with the two prime suspects names: Asif Sheikh and Adil Thokar. Their last known locations were traced to their hometowns where forces executed a ban on demolition operations.

Explosive Discoveries Created a Chain Reaction

A suspicious looking box from wires extended into it said security personnel while searching Asif Sheikh’s house. Controlled detonation attempt by army bomb disposal squad resulted in a heavy blast leveling the house completely. Pulverized under strict anti-terror measures also met with the same fate as Adil Thokar’s residence.

Search Operation Expanded in South Kashmir

Search and cordon have been massive in Pulwama, Anantnag and Kulgam. Over 2000 people have been interviewed and detained so far. Deploying drones, thermal imaging, and human intelligence efforts are put forth by security agencies to track all remaining suspected militants, believed to still live in the dense terrain circling Pahalgam.

In Kulgam, a hidden underground bunker was discovered during combing operations, further strengthening suspicions of an organised network at play. Authorities suspect at least five terrorists orchestrated the Pahalgam massacre.

Global Outrage Propels Pressure on Militants

The appalling killing of tourists drew international censure leaving Kashmir once again under the global spotlight. With the visuals of the razed homes making headlines and monopolizing online searches, the Indian security establishment has declared: “terror will be answered with terror.”

The situation remains tense although under control as South Kashmir prepares for further action in what has become one of the most high profile anti terror operations of recent years.
