The National Highways Authority of India has given its approval for relocation to Panchgaon, a location some 15 kilometers ahead of where it is located currently, past Manesar. Daily, more than 44,000 automobiles traverse the Kherki Daula toll plaza, generating approximately Rs 49 lakh in earnings. But when the toll is shifted to Panchgaon close to the NH 48 turn and Western Peripheral Expressway traffic coming through Gurugram is likely to witness a significant turnaround. Once the new toll comes into effect, commuters travelling between Manesar and Delhi will not need to pay toll at the current plaza.

To prevent developing new jams on the Panchgaon location, NHAI is going to implement the Multi Lane Free Flow system of toll collection. It captures the license plate number from above the road through cameras and takes the toll charge from the FASTag accounts without stopping the vehicle. The idea is to provide smoother traffic flow with no unnecessary bottlenecks.
