Kia Carens Clavis EV : Kia is preparing to launch its new electric cars in India. The company is bringing two new electric models – a comfortable electric RV for the family and a small electric SUV, which will come in 2026.

Recently, Kia has launched a premium version of Carens Clavis. The electric RV based on this Carens Clavis ICE model can come in the Indian market by the end of this year. To make this electric version look different from the ICE model, some new design changes and features will be given in it.

The upcoming Carens Clavis EV can see new LED daytime running lights and alloy wheels of a different design. The battery and electric system powering it will be taken from Kia’s already launched Creta Electric.

The Creta Electric has two battery options – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, in which the larger battery gives a driving range of about 473 kilometers, while the smaller battery can run up to 390 kilometers. Since the size of Carens Clavis EV will be slightly larger and the weight will be more, its range may be slightly less.

The power of the electric motor of Creta Electric is 135 PS in the standard variant and 171 PS in the top variant. Almost similar power is expected in Carens Clavis EV as well.

This new electric RV from Kia will come with many premium features. It will get a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Apart from this, the car will also have features like connected technology, dual-pane sunroof, Level 2 ADAS (which will come with more than 20 safety features), ventilated seats, boss mode, multiple airbags and touch-sensitive HVAC control.

The most special thing about Carens Clavis EV will be that it will not have any direct competition in the market at the time of launch. However, the top model can compete with BYD eMax 7.
