Kia Clavis MPV : Kia India has given the first glimpse of its upcoming new MPV, Kia Clavis. This car will be officially introduced on 8 May 2025 and it will be sold in the market along with the existing Carens, but one step above it i.e. at a more premium level.
In the teaser video, it can be seen that this car passes through a dense forest area, where its ADAS 2.0 system is activated and recognizes the obstacle in front. This system helps in avoiding collision.
What’s new in the design?
The looks of Kia Clavis have been completely revamped. It gets boomerang shaped LED DRLs, three projector headlights, new front grille, newly designed bumper and dual-tone alloy wheels. At the rear, the LED taillights are connected to a light bar, which makes it more stylish. The silver color of the car is also seen in the teaser.

Changes in interior and technology
Many updates will be available inside the car as well. It is expected to get new seat coverings, better quality interior materials and a larger touchscreen infotainment system that will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The instrument cluster will be the same as the one that comes in the Seltos.
Engine and gearbox will remain the same
The same engine options can be found in the Kia Clavis as are available in the Carens – 1.5 liter petrol, 1.5 liter diesel and 1.5 liter turbo petrol. Along with this, there will also be the option of 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and 6-speed automatic transmission.
Strong package in safety and features
The new Clavis will have ADAS Level 2 technology, which will have features like Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert. Apart from this, it can also have many premium features like 360 degree camera, drive modes, automatic climate control, heated and ventilated seats, large MID display, and panoramic sunroof.

Electric variant will also be launched
Kia is also going to launch an electric version of this MPV in the coming months. This means that Clavis will enter the EV segment along with the ICE engine.
