It is prepared in 15 to 20 minutes and doubles the taste of every meal. So in today’s article, we have brought for you a raita made of gourd in which a bhejo mixture is prepared by mixing fresh gourd and fresh curd, which is not only beneficial for eating but also for our body. You all know the properties of curd; in the summer season, curd should be consumed in plenty. In such a situation, if cold gourd and curd are mixed, it gives double benefit. So, let’s quickly learn the easy method of making gourd raita.

 

Ingredients for making Lauki Raita Recipe :

Gourd (grated): 1 cup

Curd, 2 cups (fresh and whipped)

Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Black salt to taste

Salt according to taste.

Green chili (finely chopped) 1 (optional)

Coriander leaves (chopped): 1 tbsp

Method of Making Lauki Raita :

Add some water to the grated bottle gourd and boil for 5-7 minutes. After boiling, let it cool and then squeeze it with your hands to remove excess water. Beat fresh curd well so that it becomes smooth. Add roasted cumin seeds, black salt, normal salt, and green chilies to it. Add the squeezed bottle gourd to the curd and mix well. Add chopped coriander leaves on top. Serve the chilled raita with roti, paratha, pulao, or any lunch/dinner. For more taste, you can also add a pinch of red chili powder to it. This raita is very beneficial for digestion, especially in summers.
